What if we pick a book, any book, perhaps even a book in the Bible and read it as group. Take it chapter (or chapters) by chapter each week. I'm thinking more for a summer thing, not necessarily forever, but hey maybe. Thoughts don't have to be intense or funny, after all the title is witless brevity, seems applicable perhaps.
Thoughts? In comments maybe nominate ideas for what to read? Just an idea.

I think that would be cool. Anyone have any suggestions for a book? Maybe we could just take a gospel and take it chapter by chapter. Of course material that had nothing to do with whatever we picked would be kosher as well. maybe we'll have a special title or subtitle for everything in this "series". I suggest Mark.
ok, john i can dig, but if anyone would rather matthew, i would be down with that as well. if no one responds in the next day or so, i'm going to assume that colin and i are the only ones that care and we'll do john.
but remember that, as colin so aptly pointed out, john is much more sexy.
I'm down with matthew, but I have to admit I'm a little partial to the name.

how do you guys think Luke feels right now? he's probably saying, "hey guys! don't forget about me! some say i'm the most historically minded of the gospels. and don't forget that my gospel is also really just the first part of Acts. yeah, thats right i wrote Acts. everybody loves Acts. why don't you love the book with my name on it? you guys hate me don't you? jerks."
he's a great guy, he just felt left out, thats all. we need to develop a consensus. i say we rule out mark and john due to colin and bmarts objections. no one has said anything negative about matthew or luke, accept for the fact that they are apparently not as sexy as john. since none of us are as sexy as john either, i think we can get over that. due to the fact that there seems to be more positive traffic about matthew, i say we do that.
so, unless there are objections, i say we do matthew. speak now or forever hold your peace.
