I’m in the process of surviving my first Seattle snowstorm.
The natives have told me that it’s rare to be snowing as much as it is. I’m currently stranded in a Korean church in Bothell, WA where we have many of our classes. Class has been out for about 4 hours. I might have to sleep here. My friend Justin and I had a snowball fight. This is awesome.

FYI: I just got home safely. it took me less than an hour to get home going 30 mph down the highway, but once i got here i headed back out to take a 3 hour trip to pick up Rene from the airport. it was an adventure, but we're both still alive. driving in the snow and ice scared the crap out of me because i had never done it before, but i think i can handle it now. today i earned my driving-in-the-snow merit badge and a cold beer. it's a Negra Modelo for those of you who were wondering. cheers.
special thanks go out to T Dang who bought me the sweater which kept me from dying today. i also got a number of compliments on how amazingly sexy i looked, which is pretty standard, but it seemed like the compliments were more abundant today. thanks, T.
do you have snow tires? do you tie tennis rackets to your shoes so you can walk?
cabe, YOU make that sweater work. warning: wool cannot get wet otherwise it will start to smell. and also, don't eat yellow snow, ok?
(i'll be resuming my position at jcrew...and will def. be stocking up for you)
how can i keep a sweater dry in Seattle? it got a little wet from melted snow/snowballs that hit me, but it doesn't smell too bad yet.
b mart-
i apologize for evidently offending you by suggesting that you might be sending a support letter. i hope you'll still be my friend. weren't the Cardigans some crappy band in the 90's? what was that hit that they sang?
I was talking to a friend who lives in Seattle and he told me a funny story. One of his coworkers from Pennsylvania said, “Seattle people do not get snow. Earlier today, I as driving to work and these brats threw a snowball at my car. If they were in Pennsylvania, they would have gotten their asses kicked.”
I thought it was a refreshing reminder of snow etiquette. Without it we would be savages.
B Mart-
I don't recall 'Erase and Rewind', could you sing it back to me?
Matt-
would you please educate me on this "snow etiquette"?
